A musical ode to Bath

May 8, 2017

On Saturday 6 May, we played a third and final album launch concert for Born Before the Wind in Bath - the city that had been my home for 1.5 years, where I had written and recorded the album, and had found new friends.

The location was beautiful St Michael's Without. Susanna Downes played the piano arrangements she had written for the album and special guests included cellist Jonathan Conrad Stabler and flautist Laura Cook, who also feature on the recordings.

Bristol-based indie alternative singer-songwriter Jonni Slater opened the evening, with a set of his original songs supported by electronic loops and ambient sounds. Jonni also played keys in the band. Ron Phelan and Steven Faux completed the line-up on double bass and violin respectively.
